The New Mexico Statewide Immunization Information System (NMSIIS) is a computerized internet database application that was developed to record and track immunization dates of New Mexico State’s children and adults, providing assistance for keeping everyone on track with their recommended immunizations. NMSIIS is provided by the State of New Mexico at no cost. Providers need only a PC with Internet connectivity for access. Immunization registries are seen as an integral tool for ensuring that children and adults receive their immunizations according to recommended schedules. NMIIS will prevent over-immunizing, which may occur when healthcare providers are unaware of immunizations administered by other providers.
